So much news today, hard to keep up! Well, another release date appearance has been announced to promote Idina’s new album, “I Stand” – this time, it’s at the Virgin Megastore in Manhattan’s Times Square! Detailed info below:

Tuesday, January 29th 6:30PM

Idina Menzel stops by the Virgin Megastore Times Square to perform songs from and sign copies of her new CD “I Stand” on Tuesday, January 29th at 6:30PM. Purchase the new CD beginning at 9AM on January 29th, at the Times Square location only, to receive a wristband to attend this special performance and signing. Time & Space are limited so please arrive early. (source)

Be sure to check it out if you’re in the city that day! Should be an incredible performance. And don’t forget! Idina will be appearing on “The Today Show” that very same morning! It’s gonna be a busy day!

Hey guys! Wanted to wait for verification on this info once I heard about it – and I’m glad I didn’t post right away. Idina will be making a special appearance tomorrow night, Thursday Jan. 17, around 10pm according to the site (but around midnight according to her manager) at SPLASH BAR in NYC! This event is not a performance, but instead a promotional appearance to sign autographs while her album is played for the club. For more information, please visit the bar’s official site.

NOTE: This is a 21+ (ID required at the door) gay club! Idina’s promo plans while there are not set in stone, but her appearance will most likely – I repeat – NOT include a live performance. Don’t worry if you can’t make it to this: there will be PLENTY of other opportunities, particularly in New York City.

According to Idina’s official site, she will, however, be making a special live promotional appearance on NYC’s 106.7 LITE FM radio station on Monday, January 28th! For those not in the NYC area, you can stream the radio show live online at the 106.7 Lite FM website. More information on the exact time of her appearance will be announced once I’ve gotten more info.

Hello my peeps!!

Right now I am 35,000 feet in the air both literally and figuratively. I am flying home from Los Angeles to New York , United flight 28 still reeling from my showcase last night. I have been looking forward to this phase in my career for quite some time. Being on the stage in any capacity is by far my most favorite part of being a performer. It’s probably the craziest, most terrifying, nauseating, euphoric, high that ever was. It’s that redundant question, ‘why do I do this for a living?’ that haunts my every second until I get on stage. It’s everything I am and I can’t wait to share it with you.

Two days ago, I shot the video for “Brave” with one of the best directors around; Liz Friedlander. All I can tell you is that it involved a very unique dress, lots of purple, downtown Los Angeles, and a surprise guest appearance. My voice was so tired after singing “Brave” all day. I must have sang it over 100 times, but I loved every minute. When I finally got home, I was so wired from the experience that I couldn’t sleep. I had rehearsal the following day for the upcoming show and couldn’t stop going over the order of the songs in my head. Finally, I fell asleep and embarrassingly woke up at 1:30 that next afternoon. I had forgotten to take off my pretty eyeshadow and mascara from the shoot and looked as if I was the quarterback for the giants.

Anyway, on to rehearsal and finally the show. The highlight of the evening was getting the chance to meet a bunch of YOU!! You really warmed up the room for me and set a positive tone. Thank you! I just wanted to take the time to let you know what I’ve been up to these past few days and tell you how thrilled I am for the album release. (Jan. 29th by the way) As usual I am humbled and overwhelmed by your enthusiasm, support and love. I can’t wait to see you soon! Thanks for taking this plunge with me. I hope I make you proud.

Today’s update from IdinaMenzel.com is something a little different: a photo sneak-peek of Idina’s new music video for her first single, “Brave”! Details of the music video are being kept under wraps, but at Idina’s Los Angeles showcase, I was told it involved a piano and some pretty beautiful dresses. Sounds good to me! Last night in NYC at the Canal Room, Idina performed a V.I.P. showcase in promotion of her new album, “I Stand,” much like her appearance at S.I.R. in Los Angeles last week. This performance was not promoted to fans as the other event had been, but thankfully, there are enough dedicated & experienced Idina fans in NYC who managed to get their names on the guest list. Some accounts of the event can be seen on the So Beautiful Fan Forum, and professional images of the event have been added to theatre site, BroadwayWorld.com. Those pics have been added to the Gallery, as well, with credit to Peter James Zielinski at BWW.

A new YouTube channel has been created specifically for fans to add messages of support, encouragement, excitement, etc. for Idina about her upcoming album! This new channel will be used to help unofficially promote Idina to other soon-to-be fans, as well as show WBR the types of fans that are already out there, ready and willing to show their love.
