So I consider myself incredibly lucky to, uh, get to sing some pretty amazing songs. You know, songs- songs about people, you know, people that are different; people that are perhaps ostracized or are thought of differently in this world. People who overcome that- who find a way to take the thing that makes them really different and harness it and then share it with the world. Songs like that. Songs like Defying Gravity, you know. I feel really, really lucky to have songs like that to get to sing, but then there are, you know- if I’m going to be totally honest, there are mornings that i wake up and uh, you know, I don’t feel like getting out of bed. I’m sure you have those days, you know. Maybe the night before, somebody broke your heart or uh, I don’t know. Maybe you heard something that was said about you that kind of rocked you to your core. Maybe you just look in the mirror and you don’t like what you see. So, uh, you know, I have those kind of mornings, you know.
